Prologue
Educational equity and equal opportunities form the value basis of our university-wide strategic decisions.
We provide education in the Ruhr region for people regardless of their socio-economic background and nationality. As a former heavy industry region, the Ruhr has transformed itself into a forward-looking knowledge location characterized by a diversity of cultures. As a university of applied sciences in the heart of this region, we regard this diversity as a great asset. At the same time, we attach great importance to expanding and maintaining our global network and welcome students, lecturers and researchers from all over the world.
We support our students in developing into cosmopolitan personalities during their studies who feel at home in a globally networked world.
As a university of applied sciences in the Ruhr region, we have experience with structural change and want to take responsibility as a future shaper of education for sustainable developments and as an innovator in the region.
Because all people have potential and we want to leverage it to enable them to lead a self-determined life in the future.
