General student advisory service

The General Student Advisory Service team is on hand to advise prospective and current students during the orientation phase, at the start of their studies and during their studies.

We answer these questions

  • What study programs does Fachhochschule Dortmund offer?
  • Which study program is right for me?
  • What admission requirements do I need to study?
  • How do I get my studies off to a good start?
  • How do I organize and motivate myself during my studies?
  • How can I finance my studies at Fachhochschule Dortmund outside of BAföG?

The Information Hotline provides initial information on general questions about studying, our academic programs, and referrals to contact points and counseling services.

Enrollment:
Please direct questions about admission and enrollment to the Office for Student Affairs team . The Central Student Advisory Services (ZSB) cannot provide this information. Contact the Office for Student Affairs: studienbuerofh-dortmundde 

Office hours for the General Student Advising Information Hotline:

Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Important: The hotline will be closed on July 21, July 28, August 3, August 4, August 10, and August 11, 2026
