To arrange an appointment for a consultation, please send an e-mail to: studienberatungfh-dortmundde  

Simply tell us by e-mail the desired time period, your request (keyword) and the preferred form of conversation (telephone call, video chat or presence).

Our counselors will then inform you of an appointment and, if necessary, the access for the video chat by e-mail.

We offer open office hours for you on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please feel free to stop by at Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Straße 23.

The consultation hours take place in Room 0.04.

Don't have a formal high school diploma and interested in pursuing a degree?

Die Fachhochschule Dortmund bietet applicants without a (specialized) high school diploma but with professional experience the opportunity, under certain conditions, to participate in the application process for a spot in a degree program as so-called “professionally qualified” applicants.

Fachhochschule Dortmund has been an official partner of elite sport since 2006.

The prerequisite for special funding as a top athlete is nomination for the Olympic, perspective, supplementary, team sports or junior squad of the Olympic training center.

Our aim is to enable top student athletes to pursue an academic education and a top-level sporting career at the same time. Despite the high training effort and fixed competition dates, the sporting schedule should not clash with the university examination calendar.

Our support services include, for example

• Granting semesters off related to top sport
• Flexibilization of attendance times
• Free use of the university's own sports facilities
• Provision of places in halls of residence
• Preferential admission when allocating study places in the first and higher semesters
