...and offers a three-week preliminary course for prospective engineering students in September each year with the subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing and Technical Mechanics. The preliminary course is designed to refresh prior knowledge and facilitate the start of studies.

A good command of English is necessary, as specialist literature and articles are often written in English. In addition, project groups are usually international and technical and negotiation discussions are conducted in technical English.

Practical skills and abilities
For engineering degree programs as a whole, practical skills promote imagination, a logical and systematic approach and technical understanding, such as

• Assembling circuits

• Manual activities such as soldering, measuring, testing

PC skills

• Basic knowledge of working with computers
• Basic knowledge of common programs
• Programming skills are not required. The introduction to standard programs such as Word, Basic, Fortran (technical-mathematical programming language) C, CAD takes place in the 1st semester.

• It is desirable to have taken elective subjects at school in the field of technology/science as well as a hobby interest in technical contexts.
