At the end of the evaluation, the City of Dortmund organized a specialist day on daycare social work on 25.09.2024, at which the further developments to the concept were presented. In this context, Prof. Dr. Hartung-Beck reported on the key results of the evaluation (link to presentation(Opens in a new tab) ).

On September 25, 2025, the 2nd Federal Conference on Daycare Social Work took place at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences. The event followed on from the first national conference and continued the nationwide exchange on the role, task and perspective of daycare social work. Current research findings, practical experience and future needs for action were examined under the guiding theme of "Developments, perspectives and conditions". In this context, Prof. Dr. Hartung-Beck was invited to hold a workshop on concept development. One of the reasons for this was the evaluation of daycare social work carried out in Dortmund, the results of which have attracted nationwide attention.

The workshop was designed and carried out together with Ms. Pannicke (daycare social worker), Ms. Kobe Hölken (coordinator of the municipal prevention chain in Dortmund) and Prof. Dr. Hartung-Beck's team. The workshop focused on the Dortmund practice, which exemplified how concrete strategic considerations and a practice-oriented, continuously developed action plan can emerge from a scientifically supported evaluation.
