The orientation week for first-semester students in the bachelor’s degree programs in Social Work and Social Work with a focus on Migration and Diversity (dual practice-integrated) in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies will take place from September 28–30, 2026(full-day) in person. Following the welcome event, which begins at 10:00 a.m. (Emil-Figge-Straße 40a_E24), first-semester students will be divided into tutorial groups in front of room E24 (EFS 40a) based on the distribution of the “first-semester bags”; the tutorials will begin immediately after the groups are formed. The Ersti Café on the 2nd floor of building EFS 44 opens at 11:00 a.m. The tutorials will cover everything you need to know to get started with your studies. In addition to getting to know your fellow students, the main focus here is on creating your class schedule, as well as an introduction to ILIAS, the HISinOne study portal, and other online services. Important: Starting on the first day of orientation week, September 28, 2026, you’ll need a laptop or tablet for the tutorials, as well as your university ID (found in the letter)!
