"Digital Design Galaxy" Exhibition – Works from the Digital Design Study Program

In the “Digital Design Galaxy” exhibition at Superraum on Brückstraße (downtown), students are presenting their project work, seminar papers, and theses from the past summer semester at the Fachhochschule Dortmund and Arts, showcasing the enormous range of innovative ideas and approaches from the study program. They demonstrate how technology, digitalization, design, and science go hand in hand.

Superraum Hours:

  • September 5: 12: 00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • September 10 and September 15–18: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • September 19 and 20: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On each of the open house days, one or two projects will be discussed in depth. Topics will include how streetscapes can be rediscovered as places using digital tools, how digital design can advance the energy transition, and what role church buildings can play in this process.

Since 2024, the “Digital Design” master’s study program has been training young people to actively shape the digital transformation. Software, data, and user interfaces can be designed just like any other product—not only to look attractive, but also to be useful in the best sense of the word, technically feasible, economically viable, and sustainable.

The exhibition is supported by the municipal network Dortmund Kreativ and is part of Dortmund Digital Week (DiWoDo)(Opens in a new tab) .
