Handling data responsibly
Thinking and acting in a solution-oriented, systematic and interdisciplinary way is therefore just as much a part of the discipline of computer science as working with algorithms. Computer science is about developing scientifically sound solutions to complex problems that meet technical, social and ethical requirements.
Independent in-depth study and research
In the four-semester Master's study program in Computer Science, you will expand the knowledge you acquired in your Bachelor's degree. You will learn how to work independently and apply different methods. Project management, software architecture or IT counseling are fields of work in management positions for which you will qualify with the Master's in Computer Science.
The Computer Science and Formal Structures subject areas build on existing knowledge in the first year of study. In the Management Qualification subject area, you will learn the business fundamentals and principles that you need to be able to grow into management and leadership roles after graduation.
As early as the Bachelor's study program, you can choose to specialize in practical computer science or computer engineering. In the Master's degree course, you will continue to develop your knowledge and skills in your chosen specialization.
In the second year of study, you will work on a challenging research and development project. You can carry out the Master's project within or outside the university, for example abroad. You complete your studies with a research-oriented Master's thesis.
Master of Science, which qualifies you for doctorates and management positions
After successfully completing the course, you will be awarded a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree.
