Teaching content
The content of the Design course is characterized by the concrete examination of the built environment in the context of changing social, ecological and economic parameters.
The design topics focus on the search, approach and conceptualization of contemporary and future living spaces and implement the demands for a responsible and careful approach to our environment. Design tasks that build on each other methodically, in the interplay of different design strategies and selected design tools are taught in exercises and seminars.
The focus is on the ability to transfer knowledge, to play through thought processes holistically, to gain an understanding of the complex interdependencies in architecture and to develop coherent concepts in order to be able to formulate adequate answers to the design tasks set. The identification and analysis of what is available, the linking of the context with the programmatic use, the coherence of the constructive system, the spatial expression and the atmospheric quality form the basis of the design.
