Fachhochschule Dortmund is sending out a strong signal for diversity: it is raising awareness among its students and employees during a campaign week from November 4 to 8, 2024 with various event formats against discrimination and for respectful coexistence.
For some events, places are limited for organizational reasons. In such cases, registration is required. The link to register will be activated from Monday, October 28, 2024, around 12 noon for the respective offers. Important: As the offers are aimed exclusively at students and employees of Fachhochschule Dortmund, interested parties must provide their FH e-mail address as authorization to participate. Details of the respective event location will then be sent to this email address.

Study trip to Berlin
The study trip to Berlin from 8 to 11 December 2024 includes several program items on the topics of racism and anti-Semitism.
The program includes:
- City walk "Discrimination throughout centuries" (English)
- Workshop "Argumentation training against regulars' table slogans"
- Encounter "Meet a Jew"
- City walk "Berlin as a landscape of remembrance"
- Lecture & discussion "The normalization of misanthropic ideologies at municipal level"
- Exhibition at the "Anne Frank Center"
Students and employees of our university of applied sciences can register up to and including Friday, November 8, 2024. 19 participants will then be randomly selected and notified.
Rail travel and accommodation in a youth hostel (shared room with breakfast) will be organized and financed by the university.
For employees, participation is considered a business trip. Participating students are asked to inform their lecturers in advance of their absence.
