Types of exchange
The so-called Double Degree Program (B.A. International Business Management) is offered in English and comprises two semesters of studies as well as an internship.
In addition, for students from partner universities who would like to spend one or two semesters in Germany without obtaining a Double Degree Diploma, the International Business/International Business Management program also offers an interesting study program with the majority of courses taught in English.
International students have access to all campus facilities and are assisted by the International Office in all matters of enrollment, housing and visas. Their website contains general information for all incoming international students, from application processes to health insurance.
Double Degree Program (B.A. IBM DD)
The Double Degree program is only available to students nominated by one of our specified double degree partner universities. At the end of 4 years of study, successful graduates will obtain BA Diploma of Fachhochschule Dortmund and the degree from their home university.
The Double Degree program is offered in English and comprises the following parts:
One full year (2 semesters = 60 ECTS credits) of study in the IB program of Fachhochschule Dortmund and 20 weeks of internship.

Full Year Exchange (B.A. IBM)
Students can either spend two semesters of study at Fachhochschule Dortmund or decide to study in combination with a voluntary six month internship in Germany for one semester.The internship has to be in compliance with the regulations of the home institution. Fachhochschule Dortmund does not award any ECTS-credits for the internship.
At Fachhochschule Dortmund, international students should follow a course of study which represents 30 ECTS credits per semester. They can choose from the classes available during their chosen study period in accordance with the academic requirements of their home university.

One Semester Exchange (B.A. IB)
Exchange students have to be nominated by one of our partner universities.
International students usually take a course of study which represents 30 ECTS credits per semester. They can choose from the classes available during their chosen study period in accordance with the academic requirements of their home university.

Faculty Exchange Point
The Faculty Exchange Point is run by faculty students wanting to help you to make the most of your stay in Dortmund.
They can provide information on lectures, faculty staff, procedures and regulations with regard to the study programs and the faculty, housing and accommodation, etc.
