Project management

Team description

The project management team currently consists of three students. The project management team works as realistically as possible and acts as a link between the client, in this case the mentors from Fachhochschule Dortmund, and the employees, in this case the students. The team is supervised by Prof. Dr. Yves Rosefort.

Work packages

The tasks of this team include coordinating the individual teams and the weekly sub-project manager meeting, at which the current status and problems are discussed.
Other organizational work packages include the teams' schedules and monitoring progress.
A little more creativity is required for the external presentation work package. Since winter semester 22/23, a student has been assigned the task of external presentation and integrated into the project management team.
Another important task is to make the Master's project interdisciplinary. This means that other faculties also contribute their knowledge to the Nuevo35 project.

What has been achieved so far?

In addition to the usual tasks of a project manager, the topic of external presentation was tackled.

360° shots and the corresponding photos were taken to make the new website and brochure more interesting. Through public appearances, we have already succeeded in acquiring both students and sponsors.

The cooperation with the Faculty of Design  has been running since the winter semester 21/22. The first step was to hold workshops to gather ideas on what the body of the Nuevo 35 could look like in the future. A design competition took place in the winter semester 22/23. Clay models were produced and evaluated together with an internal university of applied sciences jury consisting of lecturers and students. The"Design and Rollout(Opens in a new tab) " team was founded to ensure good cooperation.

Goals for the coming semesters

For the summer semester 2023, the plan is to recruit sponsors with the help of the website, the newsletter and the brochure. An event at the LaSiSe test track would also be conceivable. There is a cooperation with LaSiSe GmbH, so that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has also set up an extensive laboratory at the test track there.

A further expansion of the cooperation with the Faculty of Design is becoming more and more of a focus, as the next steps will involve the adaptation of the bodywork and therefore the support of the Faculty of Design is necessary.

Further interdisciplinary projects are planned for the following semesters. In the future, for example, the topic of communication and teamwork will also be given greater scientific focus, whereby support from the Faculty of Social Sciences is indispensable.
