Team description
The Chassis & Steering team is made up of bachelor engineers who are completing a master's degree as part of their qualification extension and support the project with their various specializations. The team is supervised by Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Gottlieb.
Steering
The mechanical front axle steering is currently being converted to an all-wheel steering system based on the steer-by-wire principle. This should enable an optimum steering angle in every driving situation as well as maximum maneuverability through modes such as crab steering and crabwalk.

Chassis
The existing suspension of the Nuevo35 is converted to a push-rod suspension. The individual and precise tuning options of a push-rod chassis enable better handling to be achieved. The modification also reduces the height of the chassis construction for the future body.
