T-board
The regulars' table of the women's project laboratory
Behind the T-Tafel is a specialist meeting of female STEM students at Fachhochschule Dortmund. The "T" stands for both technology and tea. With this we want to make it clear that we don't just want to talk about technical aspects in our meetings, but also about topics that concern you in addition to your studies and that you would like to talk about in a relaxed atmosphere.
In general, we want to support you in your studies with a variety of workshops, lectures and exchanges of experience, show you the opportunities you will have later in your professional life and also make the transition from studying to working easier for you.
We always welcome suggestions for topics!
We also endeavor to hold the T-Tafel on a regular basis. However, under the current circumstances, this is somewhat more difficult than usual. So please bear with us if we can only hold a few regulars' tables digitally.
You can find current information sheets, flyers and summaries of past T-Tafeln in our ILIAS course(Opens in a new tab) .

Mini job
Give us a hand with events!
The Women's Project Lab is always looking for committed female students from the Faculties of Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering who would like to work as mini-jobbers in the Women's Project Lab.
Your tasks would include supporting and accompanying female students interested in technology. With your help, they will develop and carry out small experiments. These experiments are intended to illustrate the basic content of a STEM degree course to the schoolgirls.
You would also give an insight into your field of study at various internal and external university events related to the transition from school to university.
In addition to a fee, you will receive a certificate for this activity, which is an important document for later applications with regard to the key skills you have acquired. These include, for example, presentation techniques, group moderation, organizational and coordination skills as well as interdisciplinary work.
Have we piqued your interest? Then please send an e-mail to frauenprojektlaborfh-dortmundde You can reach all the staff at the Women's Project Lab here. We will be happy to give you an insight into our work and explain your tasks as a future helper in more detail.
S²=Success
S² = Success is the mentoring program of the Women's Project Lab for female students in their 1st to 3rd semester. These are accompanied, networked and supported as so-called mentees for one to two semesters.
Of course, this is done on a voluntary basis!
The support is provided by female students from the higher semesters as mentors.
Participation is open to female students from the Faculties of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.
Goals and contents
The participants are accompanied by an advanced student from their faculty for one to two semesters. This makes it easier for them to settle in at Fachhochschule Dortmund and organize their studies. All participants can get to know each other and make contacts at regular group meetings.
- You are in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd semester of a technical study program - then apply to become a mentee!
- You are attending a technical study program from the 4th semester - then apply to become a mentor!
