How does the electric eel make electricity? - Electrical engineering in the animal world

Have you ever wondered how a fish can generate electricity? The electric eel is a real natural power station! Its body contains many tiny "power cells" that work together like batteries in a circuit. When they work simultaneously, they produce a powerful surge of electricity.

In a short presentation, you will learn what this has to do with electrical engineering, how people are inspired by it and why the electric eel shows that technology and nature have more in common than you might think.

Afterwards, we will make our own little eel that can light up and blink.

Target group? Children aged 10 to 12 years

Number? maximum 10 children

Registration is required for participation up to and including Friday, 10.04.2026.
