Welcome Event for First-Year Students Hosted by the Fachhochschule Dortmund at the Konzerthaus Dortmund(Opens in a new tab) 

10:00–11:00 a.m.: General welcome for first-year students in the Design Auditorium (Room 135)

Welcome by the Dean’s Office of the Department of Design, including introductions of the International Affairs Coordinator, Prof. Oliver Schwabe; the Mentoring Coordinator, Jennifer Bühsing; the Chair of the Examination Board, Prof. Ulrike Brückner; the Equal Opportunity Officers at the Department of Design, Meike Noster and Jana Pöstges; the Research Officer, Prof. Dr. Marcel R. Marburger; the University’s Press Office, represented by Tilman Abegg; the Social Media Coordinator, Anna Sohlenkamp; Fasta Design, first-year tutors, and Stuben, among others—as well as presentations from the Onboarding Class of 2026 and subsequent tours of the MOP2.
