Design is never neutral, as the artist duo Poster Rex demonstrates with their poster series "Rebel Prints", an alternative to populist propaganda.
Silence is not an option. Not now. In their exhibition "Rebel Prints", Lars Harmsen and Markus Lange, the artist duo behind Poster Rex, take a clear stance: design is never neutral - it always reflects values and ideologies. Since the company was founded over ten years ago, they have been critically examining the threatening developments of our time. Their posters refuse to abandon the world to injustice and are exemplary for the use of design as a means of protest. Their strong messages and visual interventions confront us with the urgent need to take action.

Against populism

A new poster series was created for Design Month Graz as a counter-proposal to populist propaganda. The works question narratives that promote fear and division and instead focus on solidarity and justice.
