DUO LIPA UNSTOPPABLE
A film by Oliver Schwabe
Germany 2026 | 52’ | arte

Dua Lipa has made it to the top of the international pop music scene entirely on her own. The singer epitomizes a new generation of pop stars and new ways of becoming famous. She shares her artistic vision with the world through digital platforms—and has thus achieved an unprecedented and virtually unstoppable rise to fame

Dua Lipa is the curator of her own career, both in control and cool; a young woman who decided early on to stand on her own two feet and is determined to carve out a permanent place for herself between sold-out stadiums and the digital world of social media. But how did the artist make it to the pop Olympus virtually out of nowhere?

Oliver Schwabe’s documentary traces the story of an extraordinary career, from London to Kosovo to the world’s biggest stages. There, Dua Lipa now moves with confidence between disco, dance, and contemporary pop—creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking. Her visual style, stage presence, and knack for trends make her an artist who sets cultural trends far beyond the realm of music. Choreographer Teresa Barcelo, who worked on Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” video, looks back on the singer’s early days. British musician RY-GUY explains his fascination with the singer’s pop concept, while Haiyti examines the global star’s rise from the perspective of a German rapper. Music journalist Laura Ewert chronicles the key milestones in Dua Lipa’s career.

"Dua Lipa - Unstoppable" showcases a musician whose influence extends far beyond pop music: from social media hype to style icon, full of power, modern identity, and unwavering determination.
