What began with enthusiasm for the WDR 2 Christmas miracle ended as a successful fundraising campaign: three Fachhochschule Dortmund employees handed over 1680 euros to the WDR 2 "Christmas miracle" campaign - collected entirely on their own initiative with a pre-Christmas waffle stand.

Tina Schamuhn and Jennifer Uliczka, with the help of 13 other FH employees, set up the tables in the foyer on Sonnenstraße nine times at lunchtime, switched on the irons, baked stacks of waffles and gave them to FH students and employees in return for donations. An estimated 900 pieces of the fluffy pastries were sold.

On December 16, they put the sum of 1680 euros in the donation box on Burgplatz in Essen. The campaign took place with the kind permission of Fachhochschule Dortmund, which provided the space.
