Fachhochschule Dortmund takes part in new transformation contract with Taylor & Francis

Published

The library now offers UAS members access to around 2,000 e-journals from the publisher Taylor & Francis. In addition, researchers at the University of Applied Sciences have the opportunity to publish Open Access in an equally large number of the publisher's hybrid journals. The basis for this is a so-called transformation agreement that the publisher has concluded with the "ZBW (Forum 13+)" consortium. Fachhochschule Dortmund has joined this consortium.

Similar agreements already exist with the publishers Wiley, Springer, Elsevier, ACM, SAGE and Hogrefe. They are all based on the "Publish and Read" model. The "Publish" component allows researchers at participating institutions (e.g. Fachhochschule Dortmund) to publish open access in many of the publishers' journals. And the "Read" component grants all UAS members access to a large part of the publishers' e-journal portfolios.

Fachhochschule Dortmund pays the fees for publication in one of the journals covered by the contracts for its researchers. You can find more detailed information on all transformation contracts in which the UAS participates and on Open Access in general on the corresponding page of the library:
