Students from PSG College of Technology, along with professors and staff from the Faculty of Computer Science and representatives from the International Office.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Fachhochschule Dortmund welcomed approximately 25 computer science and mechanical engineering students from PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, to the Emil-Figge-Straße campus. The visit gave the students a firsthand look at studying at the Fachhochschule Dortmund and an opportunity to explore the Faculty of Computer Science.

Professors and staff introduced the faculty and its degree programs before the visitors toured selected classrooms and laboratories. This gave the students a sense of the faculty’s practice-oriented approach to education and its learning environment. Colleagues from the International Office supplemented these insights with a broader perspective on campus life and highlighted the guidance and support available to international students.

Accompanied by representatives of the Indo-German Center for Higher Education (IGCHE), the students also had plenty of opportunities for one-on-one conversations with faculty members and staff. A joint lunch at KostBar rounded out the visit and provided further opportunities for intercultural exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fachhochschule Dortmund was delighted to welcome the group from Coimbatore and would
like to thank everyone involved for the engaging exchange.
