From bike checks to discussions - in April, May and June, there will be several bike and sustainable mobility events at the Fachhochschule Dortmund locations. The action stands and events at a glance.
Fachhochschule Dortmund is inviting students, employees and guests to take part in a series of practical activities as part of the Mobility Campaign 2026 "On the road together sustainably". The focus is on bicycle mobility to reduce commuter traffic and CO₂ emissions - commuter traffic accounts for around 90 percent of university emissions.
- April 13, 2026, Emil-Figge-Straße campus (in front of the kostBar, 11:30-14:00): Bike check-up with ADFC, testing of e-bikes, cargo bikes and folding bikes, information on FH mobility offers, StadtRadeln 2026 and health management.
- April 20, 2026, Campus Max-Ophüls-Platz (inner courtyard, 11:30-14:00): Same program with ADFC check-up and bicycle tests.
- April 21, 2026, Sonnenstraße campus (inner courtyard in front of the cafeteria, 11:30-14:00): Bike check-up with SQuArE, tests and information on mobility, urban cycling and health.
On April 23, 2026 (13:30-17:00), a free cycling safety training course for international students will start at the ADFC training ground at Fredenbaumpark (Münsterstr. 270c, Dortmund). The training teaches traffic rules in English and ends with an optional bike tour - bicycles will be provided (limited).

The StadtRadeln campaign runs from 3 to 23 May 2026 and Fachhochschule Dortmund is also taking part: Cycle for 21 days for climate, health and fun, collect kilometers in the Fachhochschule Dortmund team. On June 25, 2026 (12:00-14:00, in front of Emil-Figge-Str. 50), a Fish Bowl round will discuss "Sustainable Mobility" with experts from Fachhochschule Dortmund, TU and the City of Fachhochschule Dortmund - including an Impact Cup award ceremony to conclude the Sustainability Week.
