5th meeting of the DigiBäM advisory board
The DigiBäM office hosted the 5th meeting of the DigiBäM Advisory Board on July 6 and 7, 2023 in Berlin. State Secretary Margit Gottstein opened the first day with a welcoming address. This was followed by a discussion on the topic of "Education in old age", moderated by Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller. In preparation, participant profiles were created to inform the State Secretary. Advisory board members gave short statements on education and health policy, political education and education for technological development. The importance of digital education and digital sovereignty for participation and self-determination was emphasized. Highlights and solutions for making digital technology easy to learn were discussed.
The statement by Prof. Dr. Sabine Sachweh (Institute for the Digital Transformation of Application and Living Domains (Fachhochschule Dortmund)) focused on the importance of digital education and digital sovereignty. She emphasized the need to increase opportunities for participation and minimize risks of exclusion. She paid particular attention to the ease of learning digital technology through co-design processes and learning labs. She also emphasized the transfer of knowledge about technologies that promote learnability and their integration into training and study programs.
