Model making workshops of the FB Design

The model making workshops and the tool rental of the Object and Spatial Design study program are generally available to all students of the Faculty of Design at Fachhochschule Dortmund, provided that they have taken part in a safety briefing. This takes place at the beginning of the semester with the introductory events. Individuals or seminar groups who need to use the workshop can also make an appointment with the workshop management for instruction outside of these times.

Students can book or borrow workstations in the workshops and tools during the lecture and lecture-free periods. Booking requests are always made one week in advance by e-mail. They are confirmed by the workshop manager or the responsible assistant. A booking is not valid without confirmation. This also expressly applies to service offers such as Wood cutting, welding work, water jet cutting, laser and foil plotting.

Separate appointments for technical counseling, material selection and production options can be arranged before work begins.
