Anti-discrimination

We live in a diverse and polycultural society and, as a university of applied sciences, we are aware of our social and personal responsibility. Our behavior is characterized by respect, openness and empathy.

Code of Conduct: Freedom, Equality, Solidarity

We

  • therefore value all people regardless of status, gender, ethnic and socio-economic background, skin color, religion or ideology, age, health impairment and sexual orientation.
  • respect different life situations and life plans, political or other convictions - as long as these do not violate our liberal democratic order.
  • are guided in our social interaction as an academic community by the United Nations International Bill of Human Rights and the German constitution.

We implement equal rights, equal opportunities and tolerance at our university and exemplify these values.

We want to enable our students, lecturers and staff to participate in a learning and working reality without disadvantages, stigmatization, abuse of power and discrimination.

We are aware that mistakes happen in every social interaction, that we must continue to raise awareness and that advocating for a diverse university characterized by trust and safety is an ongoing process.
