My account

You can easily log in to your library account with your FH e-mail address and the corresponding password. Please use the FH email address option in the login window.

Please use the library number option in the login window and enter the library number from the back of your library card, including the leading zeros (00.........). You have chosen the corresponding password yourself and you can change it at any time in the "Personal details" section of your account.

If you have not yet assigned a password for your account, please click on this link(Opens in a new tab)  and enter your library number under "Primary identifier". When you send the request, you will receive an e-mail with a link to generate a password. Please follow the instructions.

To use the self-checkout devices, you need your access(FH email address or library number) and a separate four-digit PIN, which you can assign in your account in the "Personal details" section. There is a button for changing your own access data. The PIN entered there is only used for using the self-service checkout.

You can log in to the PCs in the library with your FH ID. Use the four-digit self-checkout PIN as your password.

If you have borrowed media, have open reservations or branch orders linked to your account, or if your account has open charges, you will receive an overview of these activities by email at the beginning of each month. The overview is for your information only and does not require any specific action. You will continue to receive individual notifications about returns or collections.

If your account does not show any transactions, you will not receive this email. The overview is only an indication.

If you are notified of usage restrictions after logging into your account, this may be for one of the following reasons:

• You have reached the fee limit. According to § 8 para. 7 of our Library and User Regulations(Opens in a new tab) , this is 30 euros for members of the UAS and 10 euros for external users.
• Your library card has expired and must be renewed on site at one of our library locations.

Blocking your account will result in some usage restrictions for you. The following procedures are not possible until the account is unblocked:

• Lending
• Reservations
• Ordering
• Loan period extension

As soon as the term of your card has been extended or you have paid the fees to the extent that they are less than 30 euros or 10 euros, your account will be unblocked again.

You can establish a secure connection to your account via VPN (Virtual Private Network). Further information can be found on the university IT intranet pages(Opens in a new tab) .

You should always log out via "Logout" after use to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal data!
