In March 2026, the “Software Engineering Project” block week at Fachhochschule Dortmund brought together approximately 30 students from all over Europe. During an intensive, practice-oriented week from March 23 to 27, the students worked together on a software engineering project at the IDiAL facilities.
About the Block Week
The central academic focus was on the Domain-Driven Design principle, an essential approach to the development of modern software architectures. After the fundamentals were covered in virtual and online lectures leading up to the intensive week, the students were able to work together during the intensive week to develop a real-world scenario in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
